Set up your Flight Box
From box to live flights in about 5 minutes. Follow the 6 steps below.
You will need: your phone (iOS or Android) - a 2.4 GHz WiFi network name and password - a power outlet near where the Flight Box will sit.
What is in the box
- Flight Box display (320 x 160 mm)
- USB cable
- 5V USB power adapter
- Desk stand + mounting plate + screws
- Quick-start card with QR code
Check your WiFi first. Flight Box connects to 2.4 GHz networks only. 5 GHz-only networks, hotel / guest WiFi with a login page, and corporate networks will not work.

Download the app
Install "Aircraft Vibes" app on your phone. You will use it for setup and for all settings later.
Plug in and power on
App download screen
Sign in using the QR code or using name and password
Connect the cable to the Flight Box and the adapter to a wall outlet. On first start, the screen shows a QR code and a device code - keep it visible for the next step.
Use only the supplied 5V adapter. Laptop USB ports and low-power chargers can cause flicker or restarts.
Connect to WiFi
a. Open the app, tap Add device, scan the QR on screen (or type the device code).
b. Pick your 2.4 GHz network (or enter the name manually).
c. Enter the WiFi password. It is case-sensitive.
d. The display restarts and may install an update.
Do not unplug during an update. It can take up to 5 minutes.
Choose what to track
Two modes - use one or both.
Area tracking - planes near you
Set a radius on the map. 1 area; maximum 2,000 km².
Filters: aircraft type (commercial, private jets, light aircraft, helicopters), altitude, speed, airline.
Flight tracking - a specific flight
Enter a flight number, callsign. Up to 5 flight. Shows progress, departure/arrival times, and where the plane is now.
Removed automatically 30 min after landing (can be turned off).
Tip: Point the area along the approach / departure path of your nearest airport - that is where planes pass lowest and most often. Small or quiet areas may show nothing for long periods.
Customize the display
Rename your device
Set your display settings
Place it - wall or desk
On the wall
Hang it using the built-in hooks on the top. Use fixings suited to your wall type.
On a desk or shelf
Screw the mounting plate to the back, then clip the stand into it.
You are all set!

Something not working?
Make sure the power cable is firmly plugged in and try a different power adapter or outlet. If you're using a USB port, plug it into a wall adapter instead, as some ports don't provide enough power. Give it a minute to start up, then try unplugging and reconnecting it. If the screen still stays blank, contact us and we'll help you sort it out.
The device only supports 2.4 GHz WiFi, so make sure your network is broadcasting on 2.4 GHz (many routers have a separate 2.4 GHz option in their settings). Try moving the device closer to your router, double-check your password, and restart both the device and your router. If your network still doesn't appear, try entering the network name and password manually. If none of this works, contact us and we'll help you get connected.
Some areas have little or no air traffic, especially at night or in remote regions. Try selecting a different area on the map, such as one near a major airport, to check that everything is working.
Sorry about that! Flight data comes from multiple sources and occasionally has gaps or errors. Let us know which flight or airline is affected and we'll look into it.
Open the app, go to Settings > WiFi, and follow the on-screen steps to connect to your new network
In the app, go to Settings > Factory Reset. If you no longer have access to the phone it was connected to, unplug and replug the Flight Box from power three times within about a minute. It will reset so you can set it up again with a new phone.
Frequently asked
No. Flight data is included for the life of the device.
Some aircraft aren't visible because their owners have requested privacy (e.g., through the FAA's LADD or PIA programs), they're military or government flights, or they don't have an ADS-B transponder. Others may be temporarily out of range of our receivers, such as over oceans, remote areas, or at low altitude, and will reappear once they're back in coverage.
Yes, tracking works worldwide. Coverage depends on nearby receivers, so it may be limited in remote areas or over oceans.
Updates are fully automatic through the App Store or Google Play Store, so you'll always have the latest version without doing anything.
No, it can only be connected to and controlled from one phone at a time.
Make sure USB plug is firmly and fully inserted into electricity socket adapter. Sometimes you need a little bit of force for that.
Flight Box connects to your home Wi-Fi network and displays live flight information.
It offers two modes:
• Flight Tracking Mode – follow a specific flight by entering its flight number.
• Area Tracking Mode – see the aircraft currently flying over a selected area.
Display area: 320 × 160 mm (12.6 × 6.3 in)
Weight: 1.25kg (2.75 lbs)
Yes. We ship worldwide, and the Flight Box can track aircraft anywhere in the world.
The Flight Box connects over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only. 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks and wired Ethernet connections are not currently supported.
Please try the following steps:
1. Restart your Flight Box.
2. Make sure your network broadcasts on the 2.4 GHz band (5 GHz networks are not supported).
3. Enter your network name (SSID) and password manually.
No. You can switch the Flight Box to a different Wi-Fi network at any time. In the app, go to Settings > Wi-Fi and connect to the new network.
In the Flight Box app, go to Settings > Wi-Fi, then select your new network and enter its password to reconnect your Flight Box.
The Flight Box can be controlled from one phone at a time. To hand control to someone else, the person currently connected must first disconnect from the device.
Hold your phone about 30 cm (1 ft) away from the display and try again. Alternatively, you can enter the login details manually.
You can reset your Flight Box in either of two ways:
• In the app: open the settings and select Factory Reset.
• On the device: unplug and reconnect the power cable 3 times in quick succession.
For each flight, the Flight Box shows:
• Airline and flight number
• Aircraft model
• Departure and arrival airports
• Departure time and estimated arrival time
• Distance from your location
• Remaining flight distance (km or mi)
In Area Tracking Mode, the Flight Box displays up to 5 aircraft in the selected area, rotating every 8 seconds. In Flight Tracking Mode, it displays up to 5 flights at a time.
You can search using either the IATA flight number or the ICAO callsign. The IATA flight number is the one printed on your ticket or boarding pass (e.g. BA123); the ICAO callsign is the code used by air traffic control (e.g. BAW123).
Please let us know through our Contact page. Include the flight number and a short description of the issue, and our team will look into it.
Where flights come from
Positions come from ADS-B / MLAT networks. Most aircraft are covered; some military, private or blocked aircraft are hidden by design.
Always up to date
Flight Box checks for updates and installs them automatically on power-up. App updates via the App Store / Google Play.
